The 9th Annual Christmas Lighting and Raffle was held at the Grainfield Opera House on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. The community choir directed by Alma Golden sang Christmas carols. After the drawings, hot cider, coffee and cookies were served. Approximately 170 guests attended the function.

Fifth Annual "Opera"tunity Arts and Crafts Fair

September 6, 2009-----Annual Pie Contest held in the Opera House/sponsored by Dan Godek, owner of Harvest Market.
September 6, 2009-----Annual City Picnic - 5:30 p.m. - meal served and activities for the children.
September 7, Labor Day-----Annual Knights of Columbus consignment sale starting at 9:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Church grounds, with the St. Agnes Ladies serving lunch in the St. Agnes Eduation Center, along with a cake walk & raffle - all day.
November 14, 2009-----Pheasant Hunters' weekend is the Annual "OPERA"tunity Arts & Crafts Fair in the Grainfield Opera House.
November 28, 2009-----At 7:30, the Annual Grainfield Opera House Lighting and Raffle, with a music program and refreshments (always the first Saturday after Thanksgiving).
May 8, 2010 Saturday Evening-----Graduation at Wheatland/Grinnell Thunderhawks in Wheatland High School at the school building.
May 31, 2010-----Annual Memorial Day, American Legion Honor Guard conducts military memorial service in the cemeteries in Park, Grainfield, and Gove, in the morning.
June 12, 2010-----Cruise, shoes BBQ (BBQ is a cook-off contest) plus other events in the City Park, City of Grainfield (this will be instead of the Annual City Picnic in September).
June 20, 2010-----Annual Fathers Day Dinner at the Grainfield American Legion Building from 11:30 to 1:30.
July 17 & 18, 2010-----Annual After Harvest Festival. Starting on Saturday, it is the all-school alumni festival that is held every 5 years, followed by harvest festival activities on Sunday.
July 26, 27, 28, 29, 2010-----Gove County 4-H Fair (Grainfield 4-H Grounds).
Bingo-----Every Sunday night of the year, except holidays, at 7:00 p.m. in the Grainfield American Legion Building with cash prizes.
Senior Citizens Pot Luck Lunch-----Every first Friday of the month in the Grainfield American Legion Building, with card playing afterwards.
Grainfield Stag/Stagette-----The Grainfield American Legion will have their monthly stag/stagette on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 6 p.m. at the Legion Hall. Everyone is welcome.
Grinnell

May 8, 2010----- Saturday Morning, the Wheatland/Grinnell Thunderhawks Middle School promotion will be in the Grinnell Middle School Building.
May 31, 2010-----Annual Memorial Day (Grinnell has their own Legion which does the military service in the Grinnell cemetery.

June 4 & 5, 2010-----Annual Rodeo in Park at the Rodeo Grounds (sponsored by the Gove County Rodeo Club).
August 2. 2010-----Annual Ranch Rodeo in Park with 5 different events - teams to enter in roping, milking a cow, penning, etc.
